Melissa recently redesigned her entire website and blog, and she asked me to create some whimsical thank-you cards in her business colors that she could use to send out with her orders.  She loved the metallic linen paper I used for Stacy’s save-the-date cards, and she sent me some inspiration images that used a collection of different vintage/circus fonts.  So I went through my collection of crazy fonts, did some Google foreign-language translation, and came up with this:

Aren’t they gorgeous?  The metallic paper is just perfect for a business that deals entirely in bling!  Here’ s a couple more shots:

I resisted for the longest time.  Friends tried for years to get me involved, and I stood my ground.  I had my reasons, and I still have them, but it’s time to give in.

Don’t expect anything good for a while, as I’m older than I used to be and less comfortable with new technology.   But I’m there now, and all of you are welcome to friend me or follow me or become a fan or whatever you call it. I have some neat little widgets that I’ll be adding to the sidebars soon for that very purpose.

I’m long overdue on a few blog posts with some beautiful projects that I completed recently, but my husband and I are in the middle of a house remodel and my camera is in a box deep in the garage somewhere, so it’ll be a little while until I can fully update things on here.  In the meantime, stay tuned as I fill the social networks with rants about how much I hate painting our house!

I married my wonderful husband in October of 2008 and spent the year prior to the big day working on a thousand and one different DIY projects for the wedding.  As I work on putting this site together, you’ll see a lot of those projects posted on the blog; if you like one of them, contact me and let me know if I can put something together for you!

One of my primary goals during my own wedding was to maintain an upscale look at a minimal cost.  I am extremely budget-conscious and can put together a package that will fit anyone’s needs, both from a cost perspective as well as a time and energy standpoint.  Are you a DIY bride who just wants a digital file to print/cut/assemble on your own?  Do you prefer a hands-off approach and want your invitations printed, assembled, stuffed, sealed, and addressed?  Are you somewhere in between?  Is there an unusual project you’ve thought of but won’t have the time to complete?  I am confident that we can work together to create something special that you’ll love but that won’t break the bank.
